ONE - Inland Emergency Fuel Surcharge

Dear Customer,

ONE has issued the following update to the industry:

Recent developments in the Middle East, including the effective closure of the Strait of Hormuz, have had a substantial impact on fuel availability and distribution worldwide.

To continue providing reliable and sustainable inland transportation services under these exceptional circumstances, Ocean Network Express (ONE) will implement IHL (outbound)’ as an emergency fuel surcharge for inland transportation. ONE will perform monthly evaluations to adjust this quantum based on the latest diesel price trends.

Please note that all shipments including the US and/or Canada inland haulage will be assessed for both EFS (for ocean transportation) and IHL (for inland transportation).

Effective Date:  April 18th, 2026, CY Receipt

Applicable Scope:   All shipments from/to Canada and the US inland
(*Excluding Guam, Saipan, Puerto Rico, and American Samoa)

Inland Haulage Fee:

  • Rail via USA and Canada West Coast – US $ 185.00 per dry container
  • Rail via USA and Canada East Coast – US $ 120.00 per dry container

Subject to any required regulatory approvals and notice periods where applicable and will remain in effect until further notice.

Please reach out to your Hensall Global representative should you have any questions.

Sincerely,
