HMM America has issued the following update to the industry:
Please be informed Emergency Fuel Charge (EFL) will be implemented as of April 12th, 2026.
North America Exports Local West Coast Cargo:
US $ 75/20’ dry container & US $ 150/40’ dry container
Inland Points:
US $ 100/20’ dry container and US $ 200/40’ dry container
The charge has been introduced to cover the increased bunker cost related to the recent geopolitical situation.
Note: (1) Also applies to Shipper-Owned Containers (SOC).
