Service Interruption in Western Canada

Dear Customer,

Recent floods, landslides and mudslides have forced several city evacuations in BC and shut down key highway and rail routes into and out of Vancouver.

Highways 1, 3 and 7, and the Coquihalla Highway near Hope BC are impacted and/or remain closed.  There is no clear timeline for when the province's highway network will be functional again.

There are also still numerous track outages that remain in effect.

CP is experiencing a track outage on the Cascade subdivision, north of Hope, BC. Embargoes for reefers at inland CP ramps is currently under review, however, cargo is being accepted at this time.

There will be no imminent builds/departures from any of the ramps towards CP VIF (Vancouver Intermodal Facility) and same for CP VIF to the East.

CN has made progress in restoring portions of the Yale Subdivision and crews are working to repair rockslide and washout sites on the Ashcroft Subdivision.

All intermodal and carload traffic northbound and eastbound from Vancouver, as well as traffic inbound to Vancouver from east/north of Kamloops continue to be affected by this situation.

Currently there is no timeframe for rail service to resume in the affected areas.

We will continue to provide updates as new information becomes available.

Sincerely,
