ILWU Strike - Update #5

Dear Customer,

Further to our previous advisory, the ILWU had resumed strike activity overnight after failing to ratify the tentative deal reached on July 13th.

The Canada Relations Board (CIRB) had convened at the request of the BCMEA given that Union had not provided the 72-hour strike notice as required by the Canada Labour Code.

The CIRB has since provided notice to the ILWU to cease and desist its strike action effective immediately ordering labour to be back at work beginning with today’s 16:30 shift.

In response, the ILWU has now reissued the appropriate 72 hours strike notice and a lawful strike will go into effect on Sat., July 22 at or about 9am PST.

We continue to monitor the situation and will provide further updates as new information is made available.

Sincerely,

HENSALL GLOBAL LOGISTICS
