CP RAIL – SERVICE DISRUPTION

Dear Customer,

Further to our previous advisory, CP is advising that they do not have an estimated time of acceptance for the export cargo originating at the Vaughan ramp.

Restrictions have been implemented in an effort to mitigate rapidly increasing levels of congestion within the terminal resulting from the imbalance of railcar traffic transiting the Vancouver corridor.

In short, they do not have an adequate supply of railcar equipment returning to Toronto to evacuate the loaded export traffic from the terminal.

In addition to the Vaughan closures, the following additional restrictions have been implemented across the network for today:

Current Gate Closures/Restrictions (NOT ACCEPTING)

  • VAUGHAN (Toronto):                                     Export Loads and pre-Billed Empties to Port of Montreal.

  • VAUGHAN (Toronto):                                     Loaded exports/pre billed empties Port of Vancouver – Centerm / Vanterm / Delta Port

  • BENSENVILLE (Chicago):                                Loads and pre-Billed Empties to Minneapolis

  • FSD (Fraser Surrey Dock - Vancouver):    All in-land Terminals – Exports loads and pre-Billed empties,

  • LCH (Lachine - Montreal):                             Loaded exports and pre billed empties to Port of Vancouver / Vancouver Intermodal Terminal / Centerm /Delta Port / Vanterm

Please be guided accordingly.

The situation continues to evolve rapidly, and we will keep you informed as more information becomes available.

Sincerely,
