Dear Customer,

We wanted to provide another update on the situation in British Columbia.

Road Update:

The province of British Columbia continues to work diligently to safely repair the impacted highways. Currently, the four major highways in and out of the greater Vancouver area remain closed.

  • Highway 1

  • Highway 3

  • Highway 5

  • Highway 99

From comments made by the province, it sounds as though Highway 99 may be the first to open, potentially later this weekend. And that Highway 3, may be the next. When traffic is able to start moving through the area, it will be very slow, and capacity will continue to be very limited.

Rail Update:

Rail crews are continuing to work on the multitude of impacted rail sections.

Container traffic, both originating and destined for Vancouver is currently not being accepted at this time by either CN or CP. CN has advised this morning that they  can no longer honour RVs/gate appointments that have been booked previously.  CN will be cancelling any active gate appointments to the West Coast ports (exception Prince Rupert) until conditions improve.

The situation continues to evolve rapidly, and we will keep you informed as more information becomes available. We appreciate your continued patience and support.

Sincerely,
